MUMBAI: It seems like actor Sumeet Vyas is currently in his best phase be it professionally or personally. On the personal front, as business cash broke the news, Vyas is in love with TV actress Ekta Kaul. Talking about his new projects, the actor will soon be seen in a big budget multi-starrer film Veerey Di Wedding opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. And now he has bagged yet another interesting project.
According to our exclusive information, the popular and critically acclaimed series It’s Not That Simple is returning with a second season. The drama which streamed on Voot, narrated the story of an urban housewife essayed by Swara Bhaskar, who is in an unhappy marriage.
The makers of the series, Victor Tango, are eyeing to bring freshness in the sequel. As a result of which the producers have finalised their muse Sumeet Vyas for the project. Sumeet and Victor Tango’s collaboration goes to the past; they came together for shows like TVF Tripling.
A little birdie informs that Vyas, 34, has given his nod to the anticipated project though nothing has been signed on papers. “It will be a new character introduced in the narrative,” a source reveals. Interestingly, Sumeet will be joining Swara Bhaskar who is also a part of his upcoming film Veerey Di Wedding.
The primary cast of the digital series will be retained except Akshay Oberoi. The actor who played one of Swara’s exes won’t be part of the upcoming installment.
Tentatively, the project is slated to go on floors by the month of June.
When contacted Vyas for a confirmation, he said, “I can’t comment on anything as of now.”
We tried contacting Vaibhav Modi, the head honcho of Victor Tango; however, he remained unavailable for a comment.
