Jia Shankar and Karan Suchak go stylish in Malaysia

MUMBAI: Simplicity and elegance are the two words that come to our mind when we talk about the style quotient of &TV’s ‘hanikarak’ couple. Jia Shankar and Karan Suchak who play the respective characters of Ira and Akhilesh Pandey have so far pulled off the traditional look with their simple yet vibrant Indian attire. Skilfully essaying the dual role of a doctor, and of a ‘hanikarak biwi’, Jia Shankar a.k.a Ira has maintained elegance while donning sarees. Closely following her with his trendy and stylish kurtas, has been Karan Suchak better known as the simple and innocent Akhilesh Pandey.

Upping their style quotient and maintaining the same grace and elegance to their look, the adorable duo will be soon making a chic and classy appearance in the show. Moving on from the regular saree attire, the television actress was spotted donning a stylish midnight blue, off-shoulder gown while shooting in Malaysia. Standing alongside looking as dapper and attractive as ever in a black suit and a neat bow tie was Karan.

Another shoot revealed a cool and sassy day wear look of the couple. Jia was spotted wearing a short floral off shoulder dress along with the handsome Karan styled efficiently in a light blue shirt with dark blue denims.

The fashionable and stylish actress is absolutely thrilled with the thought of exploring her dressing sense for her character. Talking about incorporating a few of her own styles, an excited Jia said “After quite a while, my fans and the viewers of our show are going to see us in completely different avtaar. I am extremely thrilled on experimenting with my look and in fact, have handpicked a few styles that suit my character and look best on me as well. I am very conscious about my personal sense of style and often try to match my outfits with the latest trends and styles of the season. You will see Ira wear short dresses, party gowns and donning many western outfits.”

Walking alongside the streets of Malaysia, the duo in their glamourous western outfits looked as adorable as they do onscreen.

The Meri Hanikarak Biwi cast is on a weeklong shoot schedule in Malaysia to shoot the show’s next highpoint – the biggest surgery of Akhilesh’s life.
