Smita Bansal shares her excitement on Balika Vadhu 2; says, the show is a brand and this season has to be a notch higher than what it was

Smita Bansal is one of the well-known actresses of the entertainment industry. She has been a part of several TV shows over the years and has given exceptional performances in her long career span.

The talented diva was last seen in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga. She played the role of Rukhsana, Aladdin’s mother. Smita received several accolades for her stellar performance on the show.

Also, the fans were in awe with Smita’s on-screen bonding with her son Aladdin played by Siddharth Nigam.

Well, ever since Aladdin went off-air, the viewers are waiting to see Smita Bansal back on screens soon.

In an exclusive interview, Smita spoke about her upcoming projects, Balika Vadhu 2 and much more.

We all know that Smita played a pivotal role in Balika Vadhu season 1. She was seen as Sumitra, Jagya’s mother.

As the show’s season 2 is all set to hit the small screens soon, we asked Smita about her views on the same.

Smita said, ”I saw the promo and it is a beautiful one and it is a very feel-good promo. The girl looks very cute. I am looking forward to the new season as I was previously associated with the show.”

The actress further added, ”Balika Vadhu was not just a show but it had become a brand. When you are making a season 2 of something like that, there are a lot of expectations. It has to be a notch higher than what it was. I know the team very well. We worked together for so long. The writers are fabulous and everyone else as well. The team is the same and I am very sure they will be living up to people’s expectations. I wish them all the very best.”

Balika Vadhu 2 will be hitting the small screens from 9th August onwards!
