Let’s get to know more about the story and the character of Adaa as she steps closer to portraying more evilness in the show!
Naagin, in its first season, highlighted a saga of love laced with revenge.
Mouni Roy, Arjun Bijlani, and Adaa Khan delivered exceptional performances in their respective characters and sizzled their way to the hearts of the audience. And now, as the show opens to the second season of Naagin, we have Ekta Kapoor introducing the two beautiful actresses in the form of Shivangi and Shesha.
Shesha will be known as Ruchika to the world and of course Rocky (Karanvir Bohra). Let’s get to know more about the story and the character of Adaa as she steps closer to portraying more evilness in the show!
Adaa about the show:
I had a more Indian look in Season 1 but this time, the viewers will get to see me in a modern avatar and more evil than what I portrayed earlier. I am very excited and I am sure the viewers will love this season as much as they loved Naagin.
When quizzed about shooting with Karanvir Bohra:
Arjun Bijlani created a benchmark and of course people are going to miss him, in fact, we all miss him on the sets too but I am sure Karanvir Bohra has his own following and people will love what he projects. In fact, every season has its own charm and with Karanvir coming in, the audience will be able to relate the story better.
I have shared screen space with Karanvir earlier. I was shooting for Amrit Manthan back then and Karanvir for Saubhagyavati. We had to shoot a ‘maha sangam’ sequence which brought all the villains together and I have been very comfortable sharing screen space with him. It’s always a feel-good factor when you work with somebody whom you have worked with prior and is your friend. The fact that Karanvir has been roped in made me feel comfortable.
About promoting regressive beliefs:
A lot of people say that supernatural shows instill regressive beliefs but we still pray to ‘Naag devta’. We all know snakes do not drink milk but still we offer it them on every Naag Panchami. We still believe that if a person kills a snake, its partner will hunt you down. So we are not pushing forward these beliefs but touching it.
Mouni-Arjun-Adaa or Mouni-Karanvir-Adaa. Which is a better trio?
As I said earlier, the first season created its magic and they will miss the trio but Karanvir will bring in his charm so it is too early for me to comment on this. We shall wait and watch…
Good luck Adaa!
